The river view, especially at sunrise, is lovely. There’s a washer-dryer in the apartment, which is a plus, but there’s no lift, so big suitcases are a challenge. The unit feels like a basic apartment converted from what may have been an old office. At night, you can clearly hear water dripping, which is annoying if you’re a light sleeper. There was also mold on the bathroom wall and an odor.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room felt spacious compared with a typical hotel room. The view was nice, and having a washing machine was useful. But there’s no elevator, and the rooms were very cold. Heat escaped easily even with the heater on. The curtains were too short, so a lot of light got in, and I could hear everything outside. I needed earplugs and an eye mask to sleep. There were mold stains on the bathroom walls, and the kitchen drawers smelled moldy. The utensils smelled too, so we didn’t use them. There’s also a security camera pointed toward the balcony, which was odd. There’s no reception desk when you arrive, and I had no idea who to contact or how to ask for anything.

The river view is beautiful, and both the location and cleanliness were good. The room has a Switch and a washer-dryer combo, which are great to have. We were two adults and two elementary school kids, and for a family that only comes back at night and has breakfast in the morning, the space was enough. It was comfortable for resting, and I’d recommend it to friends. It’s a very small place, about the size of a 10-ping home, divided into a bedroom, living and dining area, shower room, and toilet. Four people spending all day there would find it much too cramped. The stairs are narrow, so moving heavy luggage is difficult. Women might struggle with it, though men can manage. Those drawbacks were acceptable to us, and the advantages outweighed them.

There’s a small kitchen, and the river view is lovely. It’s conveniently located within easy reach of Asakusa and the subway station. The main drawback is the lack of an elevator, which makes getting luggage upstairs difficult.

A rainwater pipe runs through the room, and all night I could hear water dripping right beside my ear. The corridor-style room felt smaller than the advertised area. The stairs are steep and narrow, and there’s no elevator, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a big suitcase. It gives you a sense of how Japanese people live in places like this, I suppose. Maybe it suits someone who wants to try that experience, but I wouldn’t suggest it if you’re looking to relax.
