For a budget stay in Tokyo, I’d recommend this place. The Keio Line gets to Shinjuku or Shibuya in about 25 minutes, and the wifi worked great after being fixed, with very fast 300mb upload. I spent two nights here and was glad I did. Staff were friendly and spoke English, the rooms and facilities were clean, and there’s a drink vending machine by the entrance. The rooms are small but fine, with lockers for valuables. Washing machines are available, and the shared bathroom and toilets can be locked. You’re 100m from the main street, but the narrow street itself is quiet at night, so sleeping was no problem. The one downside was a guest talking, laughing loudly, and watching TV until 4AM. I could hear it from the hall, but not inside my room. Thanks, Hiromas Inn, for making my two nights away from my flat a nice time.

We stayed for three nights and found the place neat, clean, and good value. My wife and I had asked for bunks in the same room when booking, and the hotel gave us the best room for our needs. Since it’s near Chitose-Karasuyama train station(KO12), it was easy to get to places around downtown Tokyo, including Shinjuku street.

Everything was clean, and the showers and restrooms were great. The rooms are tiny, but that didn’t matter much for a stay of a few days. The hostel is close to Chitose-Karasuyama station, where lots of trains stop. Depending on whether you take a rapid, semi express, local, or other train, Shinjuku is 15-30 minutes away. There’s a convenience store two minutes from the hostel. The staff were really responsive, and special thanks to the woman working Sunday.

There’s a Coffee Boss vending machine outside, and FamilyMart is just a minute away. The hotel is roughly 7-8 minutes from the Chitose-Karasuyama Keio lines station, from which the Keio semi-special express takes 13 minutes to Shinjuku. Around Chitose-Karasuyama you’ll find Daiso, Matsuya, Doutor, KFC, Life and Seiyu supermarkets, Tendon Tenya, and Okashi no Machi, a cheap candy and chocolate shop. Rooms are small and neat, but very clean, with a fridge and lockable storage or safe in each. Each of the two floors has 13 bedrooms, three showers, three toilets, two washer-dryers, two hot water pots with paper cups, and a microwave. Front office hours are 9am-6pm. This hotel is great.
