Doutor Café is just a minute away, and breakfast comes as a coupon for a simple set with three sandwich choices and freshly brewed black coffee. Easy and convenient for starting the day. The location is great, only a two-minute walk from Kamata Station. Amal at reception was cheerful and very attentive, such a warm welcome. We booked a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. The room was surprisingly spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Just keep in mind their sizes are closer to Japanese standards than larger American beds.

I’d be cautious about staying here because of the staff. After I requested room makeup on the second day, my shirt was stolen.

I felt ripped off over the missing pullout bed linens. The listing showed two double beds and a pullout couch, which was why I booked it and listed three guests so one of my children could sleep there. But when we arrived, there was no bedding for the couch. Staff refused to provide any unless I paid a much higher price, then suggested my grown child share a bed with an adult. I’d rented the room for that time and expected to use the features they advertised. It bothered me a lot.

I made an honest booking mistake and tried to cancel about five minutes later, but the hotel still insisted on charging me for all three nights. I understand businesses have policies, but there was no flexibility at all, and it felt like they cared more about getting every penny than about customer satisfaction. Asyl Tokyo Kamata!!!! I’ll tell everyone I know to stay away. There are plenty of other hotels in Osaka that won’t leave you feeling frustrated and ripped off.
