Hotel Glanz Cascata

We had a great stay. The place felt luxurious, and even the shower had ReFa. It was about a five-minute walk from roppongi station, with lots of food shops nearby. The staff were very hospitable and professional. We could also leave our bags in the lobby after checkout.

The hotel is nice, though pretty expensive. The team is small, but they were helpful. My main problem is the free parking claim: there's just ONE spot, plus one for handicapped parking.

The room was an exhausting experience. It smelled strongly of stale cigarettes, and I could smell that as soon as I entered the hotel, even though the listing described it as non-smoking. There was no air-conditioning, so it felt like a cigarette-scented sauna. Luckily, we could open the window. The room itself was neglected too: the bed felt like concrete, the fridge barely held two water bottles, and there was tea but no coffee, despite being told coffee was available. We also had to remind them every day to clean the room and bring our breakfast. We had asked for breakfast at 9am, but it was late each day and we had to go downstairs to chase it up. The café next door was good and open from 11am to 10pm; the 7/11 a few doors away was great too, and there was a Chinese restaurant down the road across from us. The bathroom was the one decent part, with a big shower and nice amenities. They replenished the toiletries and slippers daily, so at least those were worth taking. The hotel also listed room service and had a menu in the room, but when we went downstairs to order, staff crossed their arms and said there was no room service, lol. We got to the hotel at 9am after an early flight, but they wouldn't let us check in before 2pm unless we paid extra. They meant exactly 2pm, not even three minutes early. We'd paid over $2000 for 5 nights and were exhausted, so that felt ridiculous. Staff mostly didn't speak English, except when they tried to charge us tax. They kept changing the amount between Y400 and Y200. I felt they were trying to fool me. I refused at first, but after hearing about it every day, I eventually paid Y200. They would wait for us by the elevator when we came out, which made it feel like they were watching us leave. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place. There are hotels closer to the subway.
