I’d recommend this for active travelers on a budget. I stayed five nights in the men-only section and had a good experience. The capsule style has its limits, but I mainly needed a place to sleep and shower. My section was respectful, and noise overnight wasn’t a problem for me. There were two useful subway lines nearby: the Asakusa Line goes directly to Narita or Haneda Airports, and the Ginza Line goes straight to Shibuya. I used the subway every day, with trips of about 15 minutes to Akihabara, 20 to the Imperial Palace, 35 to Shinjuku, and 45 to Shibuya. Senso-Ji Temple is a 15-minute walk away, and Don Quijote is about 10 minutes on foot, along with other things to see nearby. The staff were welcoming, respectful, and helpful. They could speak English or use a translation device for other languages. My bed was comfortable and clean, with a key-lock safe for belongings. There was luggage storage under the bed or in the hallway, and they provided a bike lock if needed. The washrooms were clean and spacious, with separate shower rooms cleaned daily, and the place felt safe.

The location worked well for my New Year’s temple visit, though Asakusa itself felt a little dull. There are cafes and restaurants nearby, plus a 7/11 and mini stop within a two-minute walk. The station is five minutes away, with direct trains to Narita or haneda. Back at the hostel, the coded pods made me feel secure, and there were only 12 in each room. People were quiet and kept to themselves, which I appreciated after a long flight. The beds are firm but comfortable, and there’s room for luggage underneath with a lock provided. Clean towels and slippers were left at the end of my bed each day. The bathrooms were spotless, the showers very hot, and the living room was a relaxed place to hang out, with free tea and coffee and a microwave. My first night was so quiet and calm that I slept for 14 hours. I’d happily stay again.

I want to thank the staff, especially Flora, for taking such good care of me when I got food poisoning on my second night in Japan. I was very weak and couldn’t leave my cabin, but they checked on me and helped get some things I needed. The women-only floor was consistently clean, and the amenities were always stocked. My cabin was fairly spacious and quiet. The hostel is conveniently placed in Asakusa, close to the subway and many major attractions. I’d definitely recommend it and stay again if I came back.

Kaede, the pet robot at the entrance and reception, made a fresh, heart-warming first impression. The neighborhood felt quiet and safe, and getting around was convenient. Men and women stay on separate floors, and every door uses a keycard, which gave me peace of mind. The capsule had plenty of room and was comfortable enough for a solid night’s sleep. The overall feel was cozy, with a coffee machine, hot and cold water dispenser, tea, fridge, microwave, and other complete amenities. I was very satisfied and would stay again. Good fit if you want easy transit, quiet rest, strong access control, and a full set of amenities.

The staff were polite, professional, and ready to help with directions or tips. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and storing my luggage was useful. The shared spaces, especially the lobby, were nicely laid out for reading, relaxing, or just having a quiet moment. Free drinks, coin laundry, and lockers made things convenient. The capsule room was surprisingly roomy, with a very comfortable bed and soft lighting that helped me rest after long days out. Everything was spotless, from the entrance to the bathrooms, and I liked the shoes-off rule, which kept the place clean and gave it a relaxed, homey feel. The design was calm and elegant, with modern comforts and a touch of Japanese style. Resol Poshtel Tokyo Asakusa was a great base, just a short walk from several stations, and Asakusa has lots of charm, local shops, and traditional sights. My stay really exceeded my expectations. It’s one of the best places I’ve stayed in Tokyo, and I’d recommend it to solo travelers or anyone who cares about comfort, cleanliness, and location.
