Gracery Asakusa Hotel

The staff made a real difference during our two weeks here. Everyone was kind and friendly, especially the breakfast room team, and the breakfast itself was good. Housekeeping also did a great job. We had a quiet room with a great view of the Skytree. It was easy to get around from here, with the Asakusa and Ginza lines nearby and Senso-Ji Temple and the Skytree within walking distance. If you want to take photos at the Temple before it fills up with tourists, this is a good base. We got there ten minutes after our alarm. A few room details: it was fairly small, though we managed fine and know that's common in Tokyo. The bed was much smaller than ours at home, which wasn't surprising, and it was still comfortable enough. The room could also get warm because the air-conditioning wouldn't go below 20/21 Celsius.

I spent 5 nights at the Hotel Gracery Asakusa and had a pleasant stay. It was my first time staying in Asakusa, though my third trip to Tokyo. Getting to and from Haneda and Narita was easy, and buses plus the Ginza and Asakusa lines made the rest of Tokyo accessible. Sensō-ji temple and lots of restaurants are an easy walk away. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a firm bed that suited me. It was a typical small Tokyo hotel room, but as a solo traveler I had enough room to keep my large suitcase upright and my carry-on open. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with a separate toilet and a well-equipped shower and tub in a wet-room. The hotel itself was clean and modern too. I didn't interact with staff much, but they were polite whenever I did. The side-street location was quiet. My one annoyance was the bright lighting from the neighboring hotel, which stayed on all night and shone into my room. I like to sleep with the sheer curtain open so I can wake to daylight, but I had to shut the blackout curtain instead and woke up in darkness. I'd happily recommend staying here.

Really nice staff, and breakfast was good too. I loved the Japanese-style bathroom with its bathtub. The location worked well, and the view from a higher floor is beautiful, so try to get one. I'll definitely return on my next visit to asakusa.

The bathroom was spacious, the shower pressure was great, and housekeeping brought fresh towels every day. There are free supplies on the first floor, including toiletries, tea, and basic necessities. The location in Taito city is excellent, close to the temple, good affordable food, and plenty of shopping. The train stations are about a 5-10 minute walk away. I'd happily come back.
