The staff were attentive, and the place was clean and centrally located.

There are plenty of restaurants around, and the station is close by. It’s reasonably priced and has amenities, too. I only needed somewhere to shower and sleep, so the small room was fine for me. I called when I thought I might miss the midnight check-in time, and they were very kind. There’s no curfew once you’ve checked in, so you can come and go freely.

The front desk staff were really welcoming, and being near the station, a Don Quijote, and restaurants made getting around easy. For this price, I’m glad I could stay in Tokyo. The building is quite old and the room was smaller than I expected, but it worked well enough for a shower and a night’s sleep. There was no refrigerator.

The noise was the worst part. I kept waking up in the morning because I could hear so much from the hallway and the next room, and there was sometimes a kettle boiling every few minutes. Earplugs are a must. Check-out is at noon. The place is old and cramped, but cheap, so I suppose that’s the tradeoff. They’ve fitted in a folding desk and chair, two hangers, and a shoehorn. Pajamas, a robe, tissues, a TV, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi are provided. There’s no refrigerator or clock. The toilet has a bit of a smell, and the room felt dry, with no humidifier. The entrance light didn’t work, though I couldn’t tell if it was switched off or just not working. The curtains don’t reach far enough to block the outside light. The air conditioner works well, but adjusting its direction, fan speed, and temperature is awkward. The bed is firm. There’s one outlet by the pillow, but plugging in a charger nearly switches off the light above. It’s a shame the mornings are so noisy.
