JR East Hotel Mets Premier Akihabara

I'm a light sleeper and often have trouble at hotels because of noise and light, but I slept well here. It's right above the station without being noisy, and the area feels very safe even late at night. You can walk to the anime shops, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The rooms are as small as you'd expect for a prime Tokyo location, but the management seems to have thought through a lot of helpful details. Check-in was smooth with assistance, and there were free bath salts and supplies, an air purifier, sleep aid, blackout curtains, well-placed charging ports, a functional bathroom, soft and firm pillows, anime TV channels, a hair dryer, and clothing refresher spray. This is one of our favorite hotels to stay at in Japan whenever we visit.

The breakfast wasn't great, so after the first day we used the vouchers at Starbucks instead. There are only three washing machines, but it was handy to be able to do laundry. The room was small, as is typical in Tokyo, but arranged well, with space under the bed for a suitcase. It was very comfortable, and I liked the big bathroom. The hotel is right outside Akihabara station's electric town gate. Lovely place, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next Tokyo trip.

There was plenty to do nearby, with lots of restaurants and cafes and endless shopping. I was also surprised by how spacious and comfortable the room felt for the price, and it had all the amenities I needed. The location in the heart of Akihabara is hard to beat, just steps from the JR Station. It made getting around Tokyo easy every day. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

A convenient choice for a short stay. The rooms are small, so space can get tight with several bags, though the bathroom is quite large. Staff were polite and helpful, the breakfast was great, and the hotel can arrange late checkout, which helped me a lot. They can also assist with booking a taxi if needed. It's right next to the train station.
