I stayed at Kagaribi Guesthouse from February 14th to 27th, and the place has a special place in my heart. Its warm, welcoming atmosphere and cozy, woodsy look made it feel like home. I was lucky to meet some cool, interesting people, too. It’s a little off-center in Tokyo, but the city is so spread out that wherever you stay, you’ll need to plan for at least a 40-minute train ride to different destinations. The comfort and charm more than made up for that. I really hope the hostel keeps thriving!

There are lots of shops and restaurants around, and it was easy to get into the center. The station was a bit of a walk, but we didn’t mind. Our room was clean, spacious, and homey, and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks for a great visit!

They cancelled my booking unfairly and refused to refund any of the 10 days I’d booked. By the time they cancelled, most accommodation was already booked, which wrecked my Tokyo plans. Booking.com tried to contact them, but they didn’t reply. Terrible service and ethics. It’s not worth the risk, don’t go.

The owner was very kind and spoke some English. This guesthouse/hostel has the essentials, with a warm, calm atmosphere, and it made for a cozy stay. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in Tokyo.

I was glad to find a chance to stay for free, but then found out the booking couldn't be canceled, not even for a single yen. That really annoyed me. Tokyo gets so crowded during cherry blossom season that it should be easy to find another guest. The accommodation itself was good 👍
