Getting to the nearest train station is an easy walk, and there are nice places to eat and grocery options along the way. We spent Christmas 2023 here while visiting Japan over the holidays. It’s a self-serve homestay, but the person who handled guest contact was helpful and easy to reach. If you’re comfortable doing things on your own, or like the feeling of briefly living somewhere, I’d recommend it. I hope to stay there again someday. Wherever you stay in Japan, please do the next foreigner a favor and leave the place in better shape than you found it. Cheers!

Although it’s set up like a typical monthly apartment hotel, you can also book by the day. I stayed for a few days and found it comfortable and convenient, with excellent amenities and a sophisticated interior that added a touch of elegance. It’s a cozy place a short walk from Nishi-Ogikubo Station, and would work for either a short or longer stay.

It doesn’t look like the photos. The room is tiny, the bed isn’t comfortable, and there’s no elevator. The stairs are so narrow they feel dangerous.

Everything I needed was provided, including a kitchenette, washing machine, iron, hairdryer, and AC. I stayed in the studio for two weeks and can definitely recommend it. It’s on a quiet street with lovely shops and izakayas, about a 5-6 minute walk from Nishi-Ogikubo station.
