Le Tour Hotel Akihabara Ekimae

At first glance the place looks clean, but looking more closely showed how dirty and neglected it was. There was old trash under the bed, clearly there for months or possibly years, and a condom wrapper on the floor when I arrived. I probably wouldn't have looked under the bed if I hadn't spotted the wrapper. There were old towels left in the washing machine, and no clean ones for me. After about an hour in bed I got really itchy, and the next day I woke up with lots of pimples on my legs. I suspect bed bugs. Given the state of the rest of the room, I wouldn't be surprised if the beds aren't washed properly. It's a shame because the location is pretty good and the rooms are kind of nice. They have a washing machine, microwave, and kitchen, so the place had a good setup, but it seems neglected. Maybe it's bad management.

I booked one night, but didn't notice the fine print saying check-in was at 10 PM. Who checks into a hotel that late? When I arrived at 3 PM and found that out, I was upset and distressed. The staff member wasn't sympathetic or helpful, so I left and booked a nearby hotel instead. By then, it was too late to get my money back. A very bad experience.

The location was pretty good, near Akihabara St, with a 7/11 nearby. The reception was okay, and they spoke English. I was even able to check in before 10 PM. As for the room, the bed, bath, and floor looked about 95% clean, but some spots, such as under the microwave, hadn't been cleaned. You can hear the train right next to the hotel. It's an okay place.

They told us we could only check in at 10 PM, even though the listing said 3 PM. The staff were awful. Stay far away and don't consider booking here.
