Mitsui Garden Hotel Roppongi Tokyo Premier

The room was the smallest of the three different Mitsui Garden Hotels we’ve stayed at in Tokyo. Still, the location was great, within walking distance of Midtown, Roppongi Hills, and Azabudai Hills, with plenty of shops and restaurants on the way. The service was excellent. Staff received a package for me and put it in our room before check-in. At the front desk, they also helped call a spa and communicate in Japanese about our reservation. We really appreciated both.

I stayed six nights near the end of my trip, after previous stays at the Candeo hotel Roppongi and the Okura Hotel. The rooms are large, and it was fairly quiet. Roppongi station is about an 8-10 minute walk away, with a good-sized don quiote, 7-11, and family mart nearby. The gym is basic but worked for my trip. They offer luggage delivery to the airport, which was convenient. The full-sized baths are a must.

The staff deserve an extra star for being so helpful with our luggage, which we’d sent ahead. The location was easy to manage, and the view from upstairs was great, though it was really difficult to get a restaurant reservation. I deducted a star for the room’s air conditioning, which seemed to take a while to cool things down.

The rooftop restaurant serves a delicious breakfast with city views, and the guest rooms are fully equipped. It’s a beautiful hotel with friendly service. Just keep in mind that the rooms can feel compact if there’s more than one of you.
