MONday Apart Premium NIHONBASHI

We spent over a month here and felt at home. The room was exceptionally spacious, with comfortable large beds, a dining nook, a big bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The private washer and dryer in the bathroom made day-to-day life much easier, and it was the best washing machine we had across our different stays in Japan. The room was surprisingly quiet despite the handy location. Four different train lines are within walking distance, and there are lovely restaurants and several shopping malls nearby. The whole team was gracious and eager to help from the start. Aye deserves special thanks for finding creative ways to add extra window covers because we're extremely sensitive to light. Aye was resourceful and really dedicated to making our stay good, as was the rest of the staff. We can't wait to come back on our next Tokyo visit.

We found the room well suited to a family or a group of three or four friends. It was big and had great facilities, including a microwave, kitchen equipment, amenities, and a washing machine. Lots of train stations with different lines are nearby, which made getting to and from the hotel convenient. Convenience stores and restaurants are also a 2-10 minute walk away.

The room itself was mostly fine for the price, and everything was well thought out apart from the extremely uncomfortable sofa. The bigger issue was that on my first night, a staff member opened my door without knocking. Luckily, I had the latch on. When I asked reception about it, they apologized but casually said the guests next door had mixed up the room number and staff were just trying to help them get in. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this for solo female travelers. The two separate codes, one for the elevator and one for the room, are also a pain, especially for older people, and didn't make me feel the security was any better. I didn't care for this part of Kanda because it felt too much like the CBD. Shin Nihonbashi is two minutes away, but it's a commuter station that's not much use for tourists, though it does go to Tokyo station. There's also a short underground walk to Mitsukoshi, which has its own metro station.

This was our second stay with the MONday Apart Premium chain, and we really like the apartment hotel setup, with a kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit. The room was very spacious for Japan, and our family of four could move around easily even with large suitcases. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with convenience stores all around. Staff were also very helpful with our luggage transfers.
