MyStays Kanda Hotel

Kanda Station is close by, with easy connections on both JR and metro lines, and the neighborhood itself is quiet while still giving quick access to central Tokyo. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, and there’s convenient laundry on site. My room was clean and practical, with WiFi, air conditioning, a small fridge, and a bathtub. It was very small, as is common for Tokyo business hotels, and the bathroom felt cramped. This is a basic, no-frills stay, but a good fit if you want clean, affordable lodging with great transport and won’t spend much time in the room.

I was there for three nights. Front desk and housekeeping were excellent, and several convenience stores are nearby. Kanda Station is about a 10-minute walk away. The room was average in size for Tokyo, but the toilet felt almost like an airplane lavatory. The shower pressure was strong, which was great. One small thing to get used to: the washbasin and shower use the same faucet handle, so you have to switch it between them. A good stay for the price.

The pillows were a lovely surprise. There were memory foam orthopedic ones with good neck support, as well as regular pillows, so you could pick what suits you. I’ve slept on that kind for over 10 years, and was glad to find them in a hotel. The room matched the photos and was clean and fresh, with daily fresh towels and pajamas. The bathroom vent worked well, and towels dried overnight after an evening shower. Though the room was small, it had thoughtful extras: a multi charger for different phones, a makeup mirror, extra clothing shelves, and deodorizing spray. There’s also a laundry room in the hotel. Recommend!

We came back for two stays in Japan, each around five or six days, and found this the most comfortable, clean, and relaxing place we stayed. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the desk is staffed at all hours. Kanda is about a seven-minute walk away, with lots of good places to eat, while a Familymart right next door made it easy to pick up breakfast or milk. Getting around was simple too, including a 25-minute metro ride to Haneda. The room had everything we needed: pajamas, towels, tea and mugs, a kettle, TV, fridge, safe, and a multi-port charging cable. There were USB ports on both sides of the bed as well. The bathroom is small, with a deep Japanese-style bath, a powerful shower, and a Toto Washlet toilet. At around 5’9, we were comfortable, though very tall guests might find the space tight. We loved our stays and would recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable Tokyo visit. Thank you for such a wonderful time!
