The staff made this stay feel special. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, spoke good English, and went out of their way for us. They even brought our heavy bags up to the room while we were out exploring before check-in. Yu was especially welcoming. We ended up talking with him for an hour about all kinds of things, and it felt like we’d known each other for years. We had a standard double room with a shared bathroom. It was more spacious than the photos suggested, with enough room for two large bags under the bed and space to open them fully on the floor. The bed was very comfortable, the shared facilities spotless, and the rooftop view phenomenal. The area around the hostel was quiet and relaxed. Free towels and luggage storage before check-in and after checkout were much appreciated. This is a great place to stay in Tokyo.

The kitchen is small but available to use, and hot drinks are free as long as you clean up after yourself. There are single rooms, too. Staff were extremely friendly and spoke English quite well. Plat Hostel is close to Asakusa station (A-18), which was handy because that line goes to Haneda airport.

We stayed in a shared mixed dorm early in our trip, and it was spacious and inexpensive. At the end we switched to a private dorm, which was really big but could’ve used a rack or something. The staff were friendly.

The location worked really well, close to SKYTREE and an easy walk from Asukusa station. Check-in and checkout were straightforward and clear. We booked an en-suite double room; it was tiny, but totally adequate for us as tourists in Tokyo, given what we paid. My wife did find the pillows hard.

There isn’t much room in the rooms, but there’s enough space for you and your luggage. The beds are more comfortable than they look, and as a tall guy I slept without any trouble. It’s a good place to get some rest.
