Smile Hotel Tokyo Nihonbashi

The breakfast buffet at Gusto in the basement was amazing, and the staff did everything they could to make guests comfortable. Everyone from reception to housekeeping was polite. The rooms were clean, modern and well-equipped, though small, which is normal for Tokyo business hotels. The hotel is near the subway H line. If you book here, you should try the buffet breakfast at Gusto.

The building is quite old, but the service made the stay comfortable from check-in to check-out. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I’d consider staying at Smile Hotel Tokyo Nihonbashi again. For Tokyo, the price is fairly affordable and good value. It’s near a train station and a Lawson convenience store, and being on the main road makes it easy to reach by taxi. There were a couple of snags: the room cleaning is only once every three days, and one of the bidets in my room didn’t work properly. Still, it’s a practical, comfortable option if location, service and price matter to you.

Everything about this hotel is good. It’s conveniently located, and the room was a reasonable size, not big but not tiny. We booked the regular double bed room, which is probably larger than the small double room. Breakfast was okay-ish, with great pancakes.

We showed up at the wrong Smile hotel by mistake, since our reservation was for Smile Hotel Nihombashi Mitsukoshimae Chuo-ku. The staff here treated us poorly and didn’t explain clearly where we should go. I hope they’ll be friendlier to tourists, like the team at Smile Hotel Nihombashi Mitsukoshimae - Chuo-ku.
