Sotetsu Fresa Inn Daimon

We found some great, affordable food right on the hotel street, including a private room and tasty bento lunches with drinks for under $10 per person. The nearby places seemed to cater to local office workers, so prices were lower than in tourist areas. There are two stations to choose from, Daimon and Hamamatsuchō. Hamamatsuchō was easy to navigate, with a straightforward route to the platform, while Daimon was a bit more complicated because some platforms are on a lower underground level. The hotel is also about a five-minute walk from Hamamatsuchō over flat streets. From there, the Haneda Airport monorail connects to the JR line. Using a Suica card, we paid around $5 AUD to get to and from the airport. It was just a few stops to Ginza and most attractions, and Tokyo station was only a few stops away for our Shinkaansen and the meeting point for our Mount Fuji tours. We stayed at Sotetsu Fresa for three nights starting on Christmas Day 2025, then came back for one night in January before flying out of Tokyo. When I was booking, it was really hard to find somewhere central and near Tokyo station that could fit our big family. This place worked perfectly. Our rooms during the first stay were smaller than the ones we had on the second, since the larger rooms weren't available on the popular dates I wanted. We slept very comfortably, and PJs were provided. I also liked that the tap water was filtered and drinkable. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We could leave our luggage, and it was properly secured with a lock using the Suica card. The lobby had all sorts of useful things, like face masks, hair masks, sunscreen, shavers, and toothbrushes. I saw guests getting excited about the supplies while checking in. Being a member got us a late 12pm checkout and a free eye mask, and we also got a cash refund when we checked out. Breakfast had what we needed, and the elderly couple running it were the cutest, so sweet. This is a simple hotel with everything you need. I'll stay here again.
