Spa & Capsule Hotel Grandpark Inn Kitasenju

The area feels like a bit of a hidden gem, and this might be the best value stay around there. The capsule hotel was decent, and the staff were very friendly. Still, I was really disappointed that the manager or owner thought storing one bag for the two-day gap in my three-night stay was too much to ask. One odd thing I hadn't come across in many months in Japan was CCTV in the onsen changing area. I was surprised that privacy-loving Japanese people accept it.

Kitasenju station is particularly close, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The capsule stay exceeded my expectations: the bed was comfortable, the room quiet, and the showers clean. There's also a large area for organizing your things, all in a very pleasant atmosphere.

The spa is the highlight for me, a peaceful place where traditional Japanese relaxation meets modern luxury. The treatments are relaxing, and the attention to detail makes time there feel like a mini-vacation. Staff are warm and attentive, with personal care that made me feel valued. Grandpark Inn Kitasenju is in a great spot for getting around Tokyo, yet the atmosphere offers a break from the city's bustle. The lobby feels calm, and the capsule rooms are efficiently designed and stylish, with modern amenities that make it easy to rest. It brings together a restful capsule stay, spa comforts, and access to the city, whether you're here for business or leisure. A great choice if you want an innovative, comfortable stay without giving up style or service.

For the money, it's fine, the staff are lovely, and the place was clean. I slept well, but this is a very cheap capsule and it leaves a lot to be desired. My main complaint is that the showers are on the women's-only floor, while the men's bathhouse is closed from 14:00 to 18:30. If you don't want to go out for dinner still humming, you have to wash at the basin. That's all!
