Station Hotel Chabo

Good breakfast, clean rooms, and a quieter spot.

Breakfast was just 500 yen, and I got a generous, tasty rice ball with miso soup. It really lifted my mood. The hotel is small and in a residential neighborhood near the train station. The facilities aren’t especially new, but the warm service made the stay pleasant. I don’t stay in this area often, and there aren’t many hotels around, so I’d recommend this one.

The room works for up to two people, and the front desk staff left a great impression. It’s a pretty ordinary business hotel, not too far from Yomiuri Land, so it could suit a one-night stop on the way back. Thanks for the hospitality. I’d stay again if I get the chance.

Dinner at the adjacent Gyusei was the highlight. The roast beef ochazuke was unusual and tasty, though it wasn’t a large serving. I had the same beef shigure again at breakfast, and while each dish tasted good, the portions were much too small. I’d still like to eat the ochazuke again. The room smelled bad, maybe just from age, and was small. The lock wasn’t automatic. There was a black box with one 150cc serving of coffee inside, which was disappointing and felt stingy. There weren’t any amenities in the room either. I only found the cotton swabs and lotion on the first floor the next morning. Why didn’t the front desk mention them when explaining the room? With breakfast, the one-night stay cost 8,000 yen. That’s too expensive. Toyoko Inn is better at 6,500 yen. I won’t stay here again.
