The sauna here is amazing. I’d recommend going.

Today, December 1, 2025, just before 10:00 AM, the trash bags outside the first-floor shop had been neatly cleared away. But the dark blue, tapestry-style noren on the left was still sadly fallen, and there were no lights inside. The building still felt dark, like nobody was there. This is an update two days later. On my earlier visit, there was a pile of trash outside, and one side of the shop’s noren with its name on it was hanging down to the ground. It was still light out, but inside was pitch black and empty. I called the number listed on the website and could hear station announcements in the background, as the person answering said they were somewhere on a train platform. It was hard to hear them. They asked when I planned to stay and whether I wanted to stay that night. When I asked if they were open, they said they had no employees. It seems to be private lodging: after making a reservation, guests are shown how to unlock the building and can stay there. The person on the phone, a Japanese woman in her 30s, seemed to be from a real estate agency. I can’t see how this accommodation could have a 4.9-star rating.

We had a great time with the two cold baths. The open-air one has an ice maker, so you can add as much ice as you like, and it was wonderfully cold at around 10°C. The facility opened this year, and I visited with six friends. It’s about a five-minute walk from Osaki, with lots of room inside and a distinctive infinity mirror in the sauna. I’d like to come back with my family or other sauna fans.

There’s a supermarket nearby and a kitchen, so while waiting about three hours after check-in to turn on the sauna myself, I could cook and enjoy the time. I was glad to have fresh air and an ice bath, and the place was spacious with a lot of depth. I’d heard a sauna and lodging facility had opened in my neighborhood, so I decided to try it. I wish they provided toothbrushes and hair ties too.
