Super Hotel Tokyo Akabane-Eki Higashiguchi Ichibangai

I liked the breakfast, with its range of food, and the pillow choices were nice. They kept my luggage for three nights at no charge, and the train station was within walking distance. The room's lighting was inadequate. Still, it was a pleasant stay.

Despite being close to Akabane station, the room was quiet. The staff were nice and fairly comfortable speaking English. I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities, especially the option to choose my pillow from several styles.

The room was spacious compared with my previous stay and very well maintained. The location is handy, close to Akabane station for shopping and visiting stores in Shibuya. Breakfast was fine, and there were free drinks in the afternoon through the evening. I had a good experience.

For what we paid, I had a really positive stay. The staff were helpful, and breakfast was included with plenty of food even near the end of the serving period. It seems the hotel has taken earlier feedback seriously and made significant changes. Each night you can choose up to five cleansing or personal hygiene items, in addition to the shampoo, conditioner and soap in the room. They emphasize natural products and sustainability. Surveys, skipping toothbrushes, or declining room cleaning can earn you snacks or bottled water. Remember to put the cleaning and checkout magnets on the door. There's a discount for a nearby onsen, though we didn't have time to go. Akabane is convenient, with shops, a park and a station that gets you to more central areas reasonably promptly. It's a useful base near central Tokyo without the higher prices. The main drawback is the room for three, with its extra bunk: it feels cramped. That wasn't a problem for us since we were out and only used the room to sleep, but the person on the bunk should be comfortable climbing and perhaps not too tall.
