Super Hotel Tokyo Kameido

We were a family of four with kids aged 8 and 10, staying five nights, and we absolutely loved the hotel. The room arrangement was two connected compact rooms, each with a double bed and an upper bunk. My husband and I slept comfortably in one double bed while the kids used the other room. The extra bunk in our room went unused, but it was nice having the space. Breakfast became something we looked forward to each morning. The buffet had a great daily variety, including traditional Japanese food and Western choices, plus plenty of drinks. My husband and I had coffee, while the kids tried orange juice, Coke, and other options. Everything was delicious. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows in the room were quite firm. Softer ones in many styles were available free on the second floor. It’s a small but very functional hotel, right by an elementary school and a quiet neighborhood. Watching the children walk to school in their uniforms was fun, and we liked seeing a more local side of Tokyo away from the skyscrapers. Kameido Station is about a 6-minute walk and Kinshicho Station about 12 minutes away. The Kameido bus station is around 5 minutes on foot, with easy rides to Tokyo Skytree and Senso-ji Temple without a transfer. The free drink bar runs daily from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. It was a lovely way to unwind with relaxing music, and you could mix your own drinks as much as you liked. They had instructions for different combinations and non-alcoholic options too. The front desk, laundry room, bathroom, and dining area are all on the second floor. Daily essentials were available at the desk, with up to five items recommended per day. We especially liked the face masks and foot-soaking pouches. Soaking our feet at night really helped after long walking days. We did laundry twice. Each wash was 200 yen, dryers were free, and there were three washing machines and three dryers, with baskets to carry your clothes afterward. The staff spoke some basic English, and we had no trouble getting what we needed. Most of the other guests seemed to be Japanese, and it was always quiet and peaceful. We plan to stay at another Super Hotel in Kyoto and highly recommend this one for families or small groups.
