The Onefive Tokyo Shibuya

The location is convenient and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My main issue was the poor bed comfort: the mattresses were cheap and hard, and though the bedding was clean, it wasn't great quality. The sheets kept slipping off, and the duvet covers slid around until they were a mess. Rooms aren't serviced daily either. It's an okay hotel, but I don't think I'd stay again.

Our room was small and very basic, but clean and convenient. The beds were quite firm, which honestly helped after an 11-hour flight. We had two twin beds and only small carry-ons and backpacks, but it was still a very tight fit and there wasn't room to walk between them. The air-conditioning was very good. The front desk staff were excellent, cheerful and friendly. The hotel is far enough off the main drag to make the area quieter, and the rooms were well soundproofed. Our floor seemed full, but I didn't hear any neighbors, even as a light sleeper. Blue bottle coffee across the street was quite good and had food trucks at midday. Roasted coffee laboratory was across the street too, and phenomenal. Its scone pancakes were a twist on fluffy pancakes, small but dense and delicious. Yoyogi park and Meiji Jingu are very close, Parco is nearby, and Scramble is 15 minutes away. It was an easy place to stay for our first two nights in Japan.

The place was clean, the service was good, and the location was convenient. They have a larger room than a typical Japanese room, with space for your suitcase or suitcases.

Nice hotel. I stayed in February, and it was near Shibuya and Harajuku.
