We were able to leave our luggage safely and, after asking ahead, check in early, which helped a lot. The lobby has washing machines and dryers, a real convenience for traveling. The apartment is roomy, especially for Tokyo, with a kitchen and fridge that made a longer stay easier. The shower pressure was excellent, the AC worked well, and I especially liked being able to open the window. Everything worked perfectly. There’s no elevator, but the stairs only go up to the 3rd floor at most, so it wasn’t a problem. We found communication easy and would definitely stay again. Ikebukuro is lively but comfortable, with convenience stores all over, plenty of restaurants and even Chiikawa Park nearby. The walk to Ikebukuro Station takes about 10 - 15 minutes and is nice, with plenty to see along the way. A 5/5 stay for us.

I usually stayed in Shinjuku on my Tokyo trips, but finding this place in Ikebukuro has me wanting to come back here instead. Ikebukuro Station, with the Yamanote Line, is a 12-minute walk. I preferred taking the less crowded Saikyo Line, which also goes to Shinjuku. There are plenty of konbini, malls and restaurants around, and Sunshine City was a favorite. Just cross the Sunshine Prince Hotel and it’s about a 5-minute walk from the accommodation. The street itself is quiet, with livelier areas a little farther away. The airport shuttle stop for Haneda or Narita is a 3-minute walk, and the fare is 1500¥, which was really convenient. I was nervous at first because searching the address brought up “haunted house,” but after spending a week here, I can say I had the best recovery nights sleep. My main dislike was having no elevator. We had to haul all our heavy luggage up the narrow stairs to the third floor. Luckily there were three of us, so we could help each other with everything.

I booked TIME SHARING STAY Ikebukuro for August 30 to September 3, but the stay was meant to be September 29 to October 3. I noticed the date-entry mistake just 7 minutes after confirming the reservation and immediately asked the property to change the dates or cancel. The accommodation wasn't available for the dates I actually needed, and they took more than two days to reply, then refused to cancel. That felt very inflexible and unprofessional. I would have expected at least some flexibility for such an obvious mistake caught only minutes after booking. The experience was very disappointing, and I don't recommend this accommodation.

The bed was really comfortable, and the air con worked great for cold, which I loved. We liked the modern but cozy feel of the clean, well-sized apartment for Tokyo. Getting in with door codes made check-in easy. There’s laundry on the ground floor and a drinks vending machine outside. It’s roughly 10-15 minutes on foot to the local underground station, with a 7 Eleven and Family Mart both under 10 minutes away. Our road was very quiet, with no noise at all during our four-night stay. We’d happily book again.

The room was spacious, but it was missing a lot of things, like an iron, microwave and water heater. The dryer barely worked, so I had to dry our clothes again in the room. The air-conditioning didn't help and kept switching itself off, even though our load was under the dryer's max kg. There’s no elevator, and the spiral stairs made carrying our things up and down to the 4th floor especially hard. The staff weren't helpful and wouldn't carry our luggage, which seemed odd after I’d read another review saying staff helped with luggage 😆
