The room was meant for four people, but we only got one key. There were two double futon beds, with no extra bedding or sofa. The place is far from the station, and some of the walkways have steps and no footpath. There was no lift, so we had to carry our luggage up a very narrow, steep staircase to the third floor. If you're taller than 5,5, you won't be able to sit on the toilet with the door shut because it closes right against your knees. There's a washer but no dryer. The kitchen has no meal or eating area, unless you want to sit on concrete on the balcony to eat. The bathroom was good. Under the futon there was no tatami, just a fake Chinese mat.

I could work comfortably on the fast Wi-Fi, and the room had everything we needed: a kitchen, laundry machine, dryer, fridge, and desk. It’s really small, but the price is good and the location is pretty convenient.

When we had trouble with the keys and later forgot some important medicine, the staff were incredibly helpful. We stayed in Tokyo for about a week, and Nestay Inn worked perfectly for us, with a train station and supermarkets nearby in a real Tokyo neighborhood. I’d stay there again without hesitation if I return to Tokyo.

The room was clean and tidy, but it’s tiny, so I’d only recommend it for backpackers. The Wi-Fi was slow, and I think a foldable table and chair would make better use of the space. After a very long day, hauling five extra-large suitcases up to the third floor nearly did me in. I also had trouble getting the key from the mailbox to enter the building.
