Tokyu Stay Nihonbashi

For a business hotel at this price, I’d happily stay here again and recommend it. I spent four nights in mid-October, and the room was immaculate and well furnished. It was small, as you'd expect at this price, but had a washer-dryer, microwave, hot water pot, mini fridge, plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. The bathroom was roomier and better lit than at other chain business hotels. The bed was larger than at APA Hotels or Keio Presso Inns, with four pillows in different thicknesses and densities. Front desk staff were very polite and efficient, and lent me an iron and ironing board. There are at least four metro and JR stations within an eight-minute walk. JR Shin-Nihonbashi is closest at two minutes, though the larger Kanda station, about 7-8 minutes away, was more useful for me. There’s an elevated highway right in front, but I didn’t hear traffic from my fifth-floor room. My comparison points at this price are APA Hotels and Keio Presso Inns. There isn’t much right around the hotel beyond office buildings, and there’s no restaurant on site. They do offer a self-service breakfast package for 1,320 yen, with tasty, generously sized onigiris and a choice of hearty soups you microwave.

The welcome drink was lovely, and the lobby’s free coffee and hot chocolate were a comfort during a solo trip when I was feeling low. The front desk team were so warm and helpful that I felt looked after, almost at home. My room was spotless and just right for one person, with a microwave and a washing machine that had clear instructions. The toiletries were all there, and the sleep kimonos were comfortable. Getting around was easy too, with a bus stop and JR Nihonbashi Station close by. One of the best places I’ve stayed in Tokyo. I was really satisfied and would recommend it.

I paid around $80ish a night and thought it was the best choice I could’ve made for that price. There are lots of train station entrances nearby, along with convenience stores and plenty of places to eat. The staff were incredible, the rooms clean and spacious, and you can get plenty of sunlight if you want. The AC was great too. Pretty sure all rooms have a microwave, fridge, kitchen utensils, desk and chairs, plus a safebox. My one gripe was housekeeping: during my 9 day stay, the cleaner(s) came just once and left fresh towels in a bag, even though I’d asked them to empty the trash. Apart from that small issue, it’s a 10/10 for me. I’ll definitely come back on my next trip in 2027.

The room was a comfortable base for my 10 night stay. I was on the 10th floor and had a good-sized fridge freezer, a washing machine, microwave, hob, and all the pans, plates and cups I could need. The TV was a nice size and the bed was comfortable. I liked the cups and plates’ unique design, which fits the hotel’s artistic theme. I’d have bought a couple if I hadn’t worried they’d break on the flight home. Housekeeping was efficient, and I was very happy with the cleanliness and service. Staff always welcomed me on the way in or wished me well when I left, in Japanese or English depending on which language I used. That was a nice touch. The location worked well for shopping around Nihonbashi, with Kanda Station and Akihabara a short walk away. Shin-Nihonbashi Station was less than five minutes away, handy if you don’t want to walk 15 to 20 minutes to Tokyo Station. I’d happily recommend Tokyu Stay Nihonbashi or stay here again, for a short or long visit.
