Tokyu Stay Suidobashi

The lobby is roomy, with a lounge and breakfast area, and the location worked especially well for us since Tokyo Dome and Budokan are both a short walk away. Great value, and we enjoyed our stay at Tokyu Stay Suidobashi a lot. Our room was clean, quite large, and comfortable for up to two people. It had a hot plate and microwave, plus a very useful washer-dryer with detergent provided. The staff and cleaning crew were all kind and helpful. Thank you!

The room was tidy and had a free washing machine, and the woman at reception was polite and helpful. The hotel is just a three-minute walk from the train station, with Tokyo Dome also within walking distance. A few stops get you to sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Shinjuku, and Akihabara. I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next Tokyo visit.

The staff were the best part of our stay. They answered lots of questions using English and translator apps, then helped arrange luggage forwarding to our next hotel, which made traveling much easier. We stayed two nights at the start of our Japan trip. The room was typical for a Japanese hotel, so there wasn’t much space for several suitcases. But Suidobashi station is very close, and getting to and from the hotel was easy. The neighborhood is quiet and not too crowded, with plenty of small restaurants and convenience stores for food. There’s a washer-dryer in the room and detergent is supplied. The English instructions made it easy to use.

It was great being close to Jr shinjuku station, but we really wished we’d found a clean room and washroom. The room was quite small, and there was short hair and dust on the washroom walls and ceiling. The shower fixtures had some dark gunk around them, possibly mildew or mold. The bathroom bin is tiny, and the toilet flush runs for a long time.
