Tosei Hotel COCONE Tsukiji Ginza Premier

The public bath, in a sento style, was a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The contemporary rooms were immaculately clean and comfortable, with an efficient layout, though they’re compact, as is typical in Tokyo. This relatively new hotel is well placed near Tsukiji Outer Market for morning visits and within easy walking distance of Ginza’s upscale shops. Multiple subway lines nearby make getting around the city easy. It’s a good option if location, cleanliness, and value in the Ginza and Tsukiji area matter to you, as long as you’re prepared for a small room.

The fish market is right across the road, and the hotel is only a short walk from Ginza. From there, you can catch the JR to plenty of other places. The location is hard to beat, and the well-designed rooms are good for families.

The rooms are great, and they’re a little bigger than at other Japanese hotels. I liked having a Japanese robe to wear and relax in. The bus and train connections are hassle-free, and Tokyo Station is about 2 km away.

We spent two nights here after arriving in Tokyo at the start of a two-week trip around Japan. The hotel is newish, very clean, and quiet, and we’d come back if we had the chance. Our bags were collected from 8am and put in the room, so when we arrived after 3pm we didn’t have to carry them upstairs. It’s in the middle of the fish market district, with lots of places to eat very fresh fish. Browsing the stalls on Saturday morning was lovely. The central GINZA area is also walkable. Breakfast had plenty of variety, was good quality, and catered to many tastes.
