KOKO HOTEL Tomakomai

Breakfast was the highlight for me: tasty and healthy. Everyone on the staff was very helpful, and the bed was comfortable and free of dust. The room fell short of what I expected, though, and the hallway lighting was pretty dim. The place was very clean.

We chose Hotel Wing for one night on a camping trip after noticing that nearby campgrounds cost about the same for two people. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Our room had everything we needed and lots of space, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were fantastic and really helpful.

The room was clean and had an ocean view, with the bathroom separate from it. The breakfast buffet had only a third of the onions, though I do like onions! Misuzu Coffee is not available in Maruyama!

The room felt very old, and there was no power socket or USB port by the bed, so I had to leave my phone on the desk overnight. Service was okay but purely mechanical, without much friendliness. Free amenities are set out near the front desk by the elevator, and you can borrow a bicycle at no cost after signing an agreement. The hotel is only a few minutes from the station, with the bus stop to and from it even closer. Breakfast was a huge letdown. At 1,500¥ it isn't especially expensive, but I still don't think it was worth paying for. There were very few choices, they were poor choices, and there was nothing with a Hokkaido taste. I was very disappointed and hope the hotel improves it. At 8,000¥ for a weekend stay with breakfast, the price is okay. I wouldn't stay if it cost more.
