We were on a non-smoking floor, which seems uncommon in Japan, and the room really was free of smoke and tar. It smelled fresh. The room was a good size for my luggage and everything was nice. It also looked like everything had been remodeled in the last few years, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well worth the price. The fish and eggs were very good, while the sausages and bacon were less satisfying. Most of the other things were good too, including the salad, fruit, yogurt, and bread. There was a nice range of bread, even better warmed in the toaster oven.

It was a good stay, though I thought it was a bit expensive for what you get. The location is also somewhat away from the station.

The hotel handled customer concerns very poorly. I asked to cancel or change my booking after immigration denied me entry to Japan, and I sent proof in the form of my passport stamp. I never got a reply from the hotel, yet they charged me for all 8 nights even though I couldn't use the booking. I see the owner replying to reviews here, but they couldn't reply to my emails? My reason was valid and my request should have been considered. I was willing to pay a cancellation fee, but charging for the full 8 nights was unfair.

The hotel isn't new, but it's clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful. I stayed in a big room with a sofa.
