Hotel Coco-Palm (Love Hotel)

I stayed in room 104 in August, in the middle of summer, and couldn't get comfortable. The Shirokuma-kun air conditioner was a good-quality unit, but it was clogged with so much dust that it was useless. Setting it to 16 degrees Celsius made no difference, and the airflow wouldn't change either. I tried the reset button on the remote, then took a cold shower, but still couldn't cool down.

The price, room size, and facilities were fine, but the cleaning was awful. Dust covered the TV stand, shelves, and room corners. Walking barefoot left my feet pitch black. The bathtub felt rough and grimy, and noticing it made me so uncomfortable I got goosebumps.

The building has an old Showa-era feel, but it was kept in good shape. I booked at short notice and stayed one night. There was an open-air bath, though it was too cold for me to use. I'd come back if I get the chance.

Inside, it feels roomy and comfortable even though the outside looks old. The bathroom and bathtub are spacious, which I liked, but the tub isn't very deep.
