Everything had been fine until my last night, when I went to the counter to ask about adding one more night. The receptionist seemed upset. He was restocking the mini fridge behind the counter, so I waited for him to finish, expecting him to ask what I needed. Instead, he moved on to other tasks and ignored me. I'm a foreigner and my Japanese is limited. I said excuse me in Japanese and showed him my question in Google Translate, but he said he didn't understand and walked away. I typed it again in simplified English, and this time he seemed to get it. When he asked me something in Japanese, I told him I didn't understand and couldn't speak Japanese. He went back to his tasks again. I decided to leave and book another hotel for the next night. It's a shame, because everyone else had been nice and helpful before that.

The location was a real plus, with the station, shopping areas, and plenty of restaurants all within easy reach on foot. At the price, I found Comfort Hotel Toyohashi good value, and the rooms were much more spacious than the usual business hotel room. Some things that other hotels provide free were rentals here, but that wasn't a dealbreaker for me. I had a comfortable stay, and it's a handy choice if you want affordability and comfort.

A pretty good place if you want to spend less. At the end of the day, you only have to sleep there 😉🇯🇵🇮🇹

The location and service were good, and the breakfast was adequate. The room looked okay, though only sort of clean, and the rug looked a bit dirty. The real problem was the air: turning it on filled the room with a very bad, musty smell.

The service was great, and the hotel is in an excellent spot near the train station. Prices were also very good during F1, with no price inflation.
