Pretty cool place.

The room worked fine for sleeping, and it had a big TV with Netflix and YouTube, plus decent Wi-Fi and a reasonably strong shower. I was on the fifth floor and liked the view. A Lawson is just a short walk away, and the front desk staff were friendly and willing to call a taxi. I chose this place because staying near Toyohashi Station was expensive. I didn’t know the area and expected downtown to be a quick cab ride, but the fare was about 3,300 yen each way, which really hurt. There’s only one elevator, though I understand that can’t be changed.

The room had a powerful shower, but the toilet seat was so tiny that my penis would sit on it. The air conditioner in the room barely worked and smelled bad, and there were hardly any amenities. The bed felt damp, and the whole single room seemed old, with cleanliness hard to judge. It was cheap, as the photo shows. I booked for work. Apparently, dinner and breakfast can both be reserved, depending on the booking. Check-in itself was fine, though the man at the desk had terrible breath. As for the large public bath, it only held six people and the water smelled pretty bad, probably because it was boiled well water. The changing room door opened only a narrow way, so taking off shoes was awkward. It was beside the laundry room, where a very loud air conditioner was running, but it didn’t make any cool air.
