Hotel Crown Hills Toyokawa

Good.

Its best features are the very reasonable price, breakfast included, and the location within walking distance of Toyokawa Inari Shrine. It's an old-fashioned hotel, and you can walk to the station too. Since it gets dark at night, arriving in daylight is a good idea. I think it could be better with a bit more cleaning and upkeep.

I stayed here for work. The hotel has an old, established feel, and the staff were very kind. The complimentary curry was delicious. That said, the place could be cleaner. The ventilation fan in the unit bathroom was broken, and the moldy smell was awful. The hairdryer felt like a toy and took ages to dry my hair.

The twin room was described as small, but it was fine for two people to sleep in. We couldn't find a good place to put our luggage, though, and there was only a simple table with no chairs. The only other awkward part of the stay was using the hair dryer. There was no bathroom outlet, so we had to dry our hair by the entrance. Breakfast is in the first-floor dining room beside the front desk. There was no ticket or check, so we could just go in. It was supposed to start at 6:30, but seemed to open much earlier. The side dishes were limited, but they also had curry, kitsune udon, and one piece of inari sushi per person. The hotel sits along the Iida Line tracks between Toyokawa Station and Toyokawa Inari Station. There is parking right in front for about 10 cars. If it's full, the municipal lot is across the tracks. Show your parking ticket at check-in and they'll give you a 24-hour service ticket.
