Grand Fine Toyonaka Minami

Not recommended. Our room was dirty, and we were given a smoker room even though we were non-smokers. It was so bad that we checked out a day early.

I first stayed here seven years ago on my first trip to Osaka, and I'm back again now. It's affordable and works well if you don't want to stay in the city. The neighborhood is quiet and cozy, nice for spontaneous or longer walks. Shonai station is about 15 minutes away, and there are nearby izakayas, convenience stores, and laundry services. The rooms are spacious, with a big comfortable bed. Room service and drinks from the vending machine are affordable, and the food, whether breakfast or dinner, is cooked with care and tastes very good. It's a love hotel, but still a nice place for all guests, especially couples. I'd recommend it to tourists like me. Be prepared to speak some Japanese or use a translator app. The staff and people around the neighborhood don't understand much English.

The staff were really nice, and the room service was pretty good. The location isn't the best, but the nearest station is only a 15-minute walk away, with little shops and restaurants nearby. Sikkim is an amazing cafe close by, with really good food and lovely people. We may just have gotten lucky, but the price was crazy cheap for such an incredible room. There was a huge TV with lots of movies, karaoke, some n64 games, a massage chair, and a huge jacuzzi in a beautiful balcony area. The lights looked pretty at night too. It is a love hotel, so it's especially good for couples.

We stayed 13 nights and got great value. The staff were very nice, it was clean, and the rooms were spacious with huge bathrooms. There was a Nintendo, karaoke, a massage chair, and more. It's only a short walk and then five minutes on the train to Osaka station. Don't let the fact that it's a 'love hotel' put you off if you're looking for good value as a traveller.
