Guest House Amigo

The room was spotless, right down to the little corners, and the bedding had that fresh, sun-warmed smell. Even the bathroom mirror was heated so it wouldn’t fog up. But what I’ll remember most is the snow outside the huge window, like a picture on the wall. At Amigo Guest House, the couple running the place made everything feel thoughtful and personal. The owner welcomed us with hand-brewed coffee, and the home-style meals his wife made for breakfast and dinner were simple and comforting. They also drew us a map of nearby spots and shared local routes for playing in the snow. Later, we sat by the fireplace listening to the wood crackle and hearing their life stories. It felt more like visiting relatives than staying at an inn. On the day we left, light snow was falling and the owner smiled and told us to come back. That kind of hospitality made Amigo feel special to us, and the coffee and warmth of the place were well worth the visit.

I loved our stay. It was the end of March, so winter was winding down and the snow was beginning to melt. The weather was pleasant, not too cold, and the place was close to the onsen with a convenience store nearby. The accommodation was spotless, and the owners were so friendly and welcoming to our family. They were both lovely. I’d happily come back if I get the chance, and I definitely recommend it.

The guesthouse is bright and airy, with a wood-burning stove and covered parking for motorcycles. It’s near both Lawson and the Kannabe Kogen Roadside Station. The budget plan is reasonably priced too.

The crab hot pot course was generous, with everything from sashimi to steamed crab. It’s a relaxing place with a fireplace, and the owner is friendly and clearly takes his coffee seriously.
