The owners were incredibly caring and kept checking whether we needed anything or if they could make our stay nicer. Everything was clean, tidy, and well organized, and we felt at home. One lovely memory is playing a fun game of chasing ping pong with the owner. The ryokan feels like a time capsule, giving you a glimpse of old Japan and the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese home. It was a unique, authentic experience we won’t forget. We wholeheartedly recommend it, and it’s one of our warmest memories from our trip to Japan.

We just had a lovely weekend in Kinosaki onsen. Since we booked at the last minute, we had to split our stay between two ryokan, which gave us a chance to compare them. Yoshiharu gave us a good experience overall, with very friendly service and a delicious kaiseki dinner. Still, compared with Moruzyia, it seemed overpriced in several ways. The room and onsen bath were of a lower standard, service was less flexible, they couldn’t keep our baggage after 11am, and dinner was served too quickly.

The owner’s dedication has my utmost respect. The young couple and the veteran waitress were both wonderful, and the boiled tofu’s dipping sauce was the best I’ve ever tasted. The crab was incredibly fresh, since there’s a supplier next door. If he’s still alive, I’ll definitely come back.
