The only real downside was how freezing the bathroom in our room felt. Apart from that, it was a great hotel, with friendly, helpful staff and delicious dinner and breakfast.

The room had a stunning view, and the English-speaking staff were so caring and helpful. I’d definitely try the pork and rice at dinner.

I’d recommend coming outside winter, since this is a mineral spring rather than a hot spring, I think. Even with heavy snowfall, getting here wasn’t too bad because the inn is right along the national highway. It’s definitely a Takamiya Group inn. When I asked the woman in the dining room where to buy the gluten used in the dishes, she went out of her way to check and gave me advice twice. I managed to find it 😆 Thank you very much.

A lot of black bits came out of the room’s hair dryer and stained my hair. The food was disappointing too, both in quality and variety. Breakfast rice was served already plated and only lukewarm. The miso-flavored taro stew had been lit beforehand, but the flame quickly went out, and it was so thick it seemed overcooked. They should serve the food and light the fire after guests are seated. It’s a shame, because the room and bathroom had both been nicely renovated and were very clean. I won’t be going back.
