The top-floor views were great, and breakfast was SUPER SUPER good. The beds and utilities were great too, though the sheets had a bit of staining. Staff were extremely friendly, and the location was great. Just note that there's no longer a gym or pool, even though they're advertised.

The shower was strong and worked quite well, and there's a 7-11 right across the street. Beyond that, the building and rooms felt very old, and the carpet, sofa, and chair were quite dirty.

The restaurant staff were awesome, though the reception staff weren't very smiley and I didn't feel welcome. The whole building and rooms are really old, and it doesn't seem like renovation is on their mind, while the prices feel pretty modern. If you want a local experience, this could be the place. If you're after somewhere more relaxing and fun, it isn't.

I was there for a ceremony, and the large room we used had enough space for everyone invited, though the decor felt dated. The hotel is about a five-minute taxi ride from Tsuchiura Station. It's fairly old, with basic but decent amenities. Local businesses and schools seem to use it often for formal events and similar functions.

For the location, it's kinda ok. The top floor has good views and breakfast is acceptable, but even the non-smoking rooms smell.
