The spacious room stood out compared with other Yutakawa inns, and the staff were very nice. The food was excellent, with many kinds of sake available. I also liked that the bathrooms are private. The water is slightly salty, has no smell, and comes in at a huge rate from a 100% natural hot spring without circulation. It's the same source as the public bath next door, Shomen-yu. One of the best ryokans I've stayed in.

We only had one night because we were on our way somewhere else, which was a shame. The spacious Ryokan is well maintained and breathes history. Its own onsen baths are comfortable and private, the breakfast was great, and the service was excellent. Next time we'll stay longer and enjoy the area.

The friendly, beautiful young landlady helped make our stay relaxing and comfortable. I stayed in early January 2014. The inn is next to the public bath and has a constant flow of fresh hot spring water. Inside, the decor is beautiful, and the cuisine made with local ingredients went perfectly with sake.

We had three rock oysters and a glass of milk ginkgo for dinner. The ginkgo is named after a tree at a nearby shrine, and it was delicious. There are two baths on the first floor, and you can use them privately if they're available. The hot spring water comes in abundantly and warmed us up, even during our late July stay. The building is very old, with doors and other details that have a Showa-era charm. The guest rooms keep an old-fashioned Japanese feel, while the beds and bathrooms are subtly modern.
