Yutorelo Tsuwano

Dinner was excellent, with the chef’s care for little details really coming through. I also enjoyed trying local brewers’ sake at the tasting bar, and feeding the large koi in the pond was a nice extra. The comfortable rooms have a modern Japanese style, and check-in is done on a tablet. Thanks for a great stay.

The view was amazing, and the staff were really friendly. Breakfast was great, Japanese style, and the location was convenient. The room stayed too hot both day and night, though, even with the AC on.

The construction right outside our window made it impossible to relax. They were drilling into the wall, and we only found out the next morning. At check-in, the lobby receptionist said nothing about it. We complained at reception, but the person on duty seemed not to care. They offered neither another room nor a discount for the disruption. The hotel itself was nice, but this felt far from Japanese hospitality.

The onsen upstairs was pleasant, though a little small. The building itself isn’t especially memorable, but it’s been decorated with real taste. What surprised me most was the restaurant: the traditional ryokan dishes for dinner and breakfast had a refined, modern touch, and everything was delicious. I even came around to chawanmushi. The staff were so kind and helpful. Many thanks to them.
