Ube Station Hotel

This was my second stay, and I gave it five stars again. The room was clean and the price was fair. It’s only a two-minute walk from Ube Station, with markets nearby, and free laundry is available. They bring a freshly made morning bento to the room, and breakfast is high quality, with coffee included. The staff are friendly, and some speak English.

It’s handy for Ube Station, about a five-minute walk away. The hotel is very old, though, so I’d only recommend it if you’re trying to save money and aren’t expecting much. The heating was especially weak, and the room felt very cold.

The building is old, but I didn’t find anything unpleasant about it, and the location near the station is great. That’s why I stay here, and I think it’s a good hotel. Breakfast comes as a boxed lunch, though the rice and pasta felt too heavy in the morning. I left some behind, which was a shame.

The supermarket nearby was a real find. I bought locally caught sashimi there at half price, and it was so good that I got fish on two days of my four-night stay. Yamaguchi fish is top-notch, the kind of deliciousness you just can’t find in Tokyo. I might find Ube-Shinkawa a little more convenient, but I’d definitely stay here again. I hope the Wi-Fi gets faster and more reliable. Breakfast was so delicious that I didn’t want to leave. I normally skip breakfast, but looked forward to it every morning. The free laundry was a nice bonus, too. My room was a bit old, but clean and perfectly fine, and everyone at the front desk was very kind.
