For lunch at Sugadaira Snow Resort, this is the best spot.

The views are nice.

A few things I’d keep in mind for another stay. I was in an older twin room, which had a hair dryer but no fridge or tissues, and neither bath towels nor face towels were provided. The bathroom smelled strongly of sewage, its exhaust fan didn’t work, the shower pressure was weak, and the shampoo and body wash bottles were empty. The toilet had no lid, so I worried about viruses spreading everywhere. Meals were buffet-style and only average. When lots of students are there for training camp, the large public bath gets extremely crowded in the evening and there’s trash scattered around. The showers there had good pressure, though. If you’re planning to use the bath, it might be empty after 8pm. For breakfast, go early, or just before closing, when it’s usually empty.

The price was reasonable and the food tasted great. The facilities are a bit old, but with the cost and slopes right at the door, I’d stay here again.
