I use this as my go-to hotel in Ueda for work. It's a business hotel, so I wouldn't choose it for a holiday. Rooms are clean and a usual not-huge size, with only a rail for clothes instead of a wardrobe. The bathroom is the typical tiny prefab bath and shower unit, though there's an onsen if you want more space. Breakfast is, in my view, the closest thing to a Western breakfast in town. Internet is fine for VPN work. I like that the windows open for fresh air, though it can get loud at night when kids in Ueda ride 15cc motorbikes with open exhausts to get rid of steam.

The check-in took too long, with unnecessary form filling and then what seemed like someone entering the same details into a computer while we waited. Some better hotels have changed this process, and it could be improved here. We had a spacious twin room, though the view wasn't anything special. The location was good, and my wife and I could walk to a good restaurant and wine bar.

I had a good stay. The rooms were big enough, but short on storage cabinets. The bathroom was clean, though if you're over 1.90 meters tall, you can't stand straight in the shower. People were friendly and professional. Reception staff spoke some English, but the others didn't speak much.

A budget place with a small room and no wardrobe. The heat kept cycling on and off all night and was far too noisy, even in "sleep" mode. On the plus side, breakfast was a very nice buffet included in the price, and the station is only a three-minute walk away.

A new hotel in Ueda, and the hot spring pools are a nice bonus on a business trip. Good hotel with a nice breakfast, one of the good options in Ueda City.
