I stayed here while my sons were on their U12 rugby tour in Sep 2025. The rooms are dated but clean, and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed both the Western and local dishes at the restaurant upstairs. Thank you, Sugadaira Hotel.

It's an older building, but clean, and the service is good. There’s free coffee in the lounge, baths are available at no charge after checkout, and lift tickets and ski rentals are cheap. The resort is close enough to walk to.

The food is so good and generous that I nearly come here just to eat. Dinner and breakfast are a real highlight. Lift tickets bought at the front desk cost quite a bit less, so I'd recommend that. I stayed on February 22nd, 2025. I couldn't get a room last year because the hotel was full, so I tried again after two years. By coincidence, I ended up in the same room, which made me a little, no, very happy. The room is showing its age, but it's clean and comfortable. My one small preference would be for the bath water to be a bit cooler, though that's a minor personal gripe. I'll come back. Thanks very much.
