Thanks for all the effort. The service was really nice, and the rooms were great.

The kaiseki meals were amazing, and they handled my food allergy with no trouble at all. I also loved the free drinks, yukata and zori to wear around the place, and the lovely gifts. The outdoor baths were great, and the ryokan itself is beautiful, with top-notch service. It's right across the street from O-Yu and just a short walk to some good bars and cafes. Highly recommend!

The onsen was lovely, and the hotel was very, very good. It's one you must visit.

I had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Everything was spotless, from the building to my room, and the food was a real highlight. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, seasoned just how I like it, lol. One thing I hadn't come across before was daikon pickled in moromi soy sauce. It looked completely black, but tasted rich and flavorful rather than spicy. The baths switch between men's and women's use, so we got to try both. The water comes straight from the source, has a faint sulfur smell, and left my skin feeling refreshed. There are three massage chairs after the bath, which was a nice treat. Until 7 pm, drinks like coffee, tea, and draft beer are free. The Shinshu wine selection has about six kinds, but costs extra. Guests also get a free ticket for an outdoor bath at Bessho Onsen. Locals said Daishi-yu, source No. 3, is the only one there with natural hot spring water. We liked having both yukata and samue, and colorful yukata are available to rent for free when the weather's good. The staff were elegant and very kind. It was a perfect inn in every way, and I highly recommend it!
