Ueda station is about 200 meters away. For around 500 yen, you can get a hearty Japanese breakfast. The rooms are clean and well equipped, with a mini fridge, AC, and a water heater for Japanese tea or noodles.

This is a cheap hotel in poor condition. If saving money is important and you still want an okay place to stay, you could choose it, but my husband and I had a very bad experience. The vending machine in the corridor was so noisy that we could hear it in our room. We were in room 210, in a corner beside the pipe space, and could hear water draining from the rooms upstairs. On top of that, the guests above us were extremely loud at 2 a.m. This isn't just a hotel issue, but reception closes at midnight, so no one was available to help. We gave up and left for somewhere else before 3 a.m. because we couldn't get back to sleep. There was a man working at reception when I went down. I understand their working hours, but the noise upstairs was so bad that I wished he'd answered our call for help. When I explained why we were checking out, he didn't investigate or apologize. He just said, “Oh... okay.” I don't recommend this hotel at all.
