The noise from upstairs was the one real drawback. You could hear it loudly downstairs when a little one ran around, and although we reported it, the hotel got in touch and tried to address it, the improvement was limited. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and fairly clean. The location works well for heading either north or south, with a big supermarket and a very cheap drugstore nearby. It doesn’t have a huge selection, but it was cheaper than Don Quijote and some other drugstores. Email replies from customer service came fairly quickly, though not instantly. The kids, who are 9 and 13, loved the huge bathtub. The heated bathroom seats were especially nice in the cold. Overall, we had a good stay.

The room had a nice view from the third floor, and cooking was easy since pots, pans, chopsticks, and the other needed equipment were there. There was liquid detergent in the washing machine, so I only needed to bring fabric softener. A dryer was available, along with at least ten hangers. There were two small bins inside, plus a larger one on the small balcony behind the door beside the washer. Even though the building was a converted apartment, the stay was comfortable. Check-in confused me quite a bit the first time. You have to press * to deactivate the auto-lock, then go to the unmanned front desk on the second floor and enter your PIN or other code at a small terminal. I booked through Booking, but it wouldn't authenticate me unless I used the email address registered there. The menu is in English rather than Japanese, so I think the process would be quite difficult for older people. The main issues were drainage and noise. Both the sink and bathroom drained very slowly, and filling the tub took more than 20 minutes. There was no bathroom chair, so I had to wash standing up. I stayed four nights, and although there was only one room on my floor, voices from upstairs could get very loud. It’s especially bothersome if you have children, so I’d recommend that people with small children avoid staying here. The noise warning signs in the elevators and elsewhere make me think there have been a lot of noise complaints. Better drainage in the sink and bathroom would help. Thank you.

I booked two rooms, and both were spacious, comfortable, and very clean. I’d happily book here again on another trip to Okinawa. Highly recommended.

At first, I thought the place was nice. Despite the low reviews, we hadn’t run into the odd problems other people mentioned, and I was even going to recommend it. Then a message from the guesthouse that evening really made me angry. My sister and I got back around 9 PM, rested and showered, and only exchanged a few words at a normal volume. We switched off the lights and went to bed around 11. Near midnight, the guesthouse messaged to say other guests had complained about noise and asked us to be quieter. Nobody knocked or came to check what was happening. They just seemed to decide it was us based on a few comments from other guests and expected us to comply. That wasn’t right. I explained the situation in my reply, but got no response or apology afterward. I can see why the reviews are low. 👋🏻
