It’s easy to get around the region and to Nagasaki from this hotel, since it’s right by the station. With hills and spas all around, it feels refreshing to be close to things yet away from Japan’s cities. The lounge is well equipped, with a bean-to-cup coffee machine, oven, and microwave. It’s easy to have some privacy while still being able to socialize. The hotel strikes a good balance between comfort, quality, and efficiency. Our room was spacious and quiet, and the beds and sheets were comfortable and good quality.

The helpful staff made a big difference during my stay. They were friendly with check-in, suggested local restaurants and onsen spots, and even shared thoughtful updates when the weather changed. The hotel is right by Ureshino Onsen Station, which is very convenient for getting around or heading toward Nagasaki. The actual onsen town is a bit farther away, so a taxi or the hotel shuttle is a good idea. There’s no onsen in the hotel itself, but plenty nearby, and the place works well as a quiet base beside a hot spring destination. I found the Fairfield room simple, functional, spotless, and well organized. The bed was comfortable, and it was easy to rest there. The lobby has a clean, warm look with a subtle Japanese touch. Downstairs, the shared lounge is quiet and comfortable for working, eating something light, reading, or relaxing. It’s not flashy, but it feels thoughtfully designed and calm.

I first stayed at the Fairfield in Kagoshima, and Ureshino was my second Fairfield. I just love this hotel. The staff were friendly and gave good service, and the whole place was clean. I liked the beds, toiletries, sofa, and little round table by the sofa. The open-concept bathroom is a great design. Don’t worry, you can close it, you just have to stay here to understand. I also loved the cute aluminum water bottles, but please don’t take them away! The lobby area feels like they’re trying to make a home, with an open kitchen and sofa area. Free coffee is a nice touch too.

It’s a laid-back hotel, a nice break from the busy city, and hardly any cars pass on the roads. There are several nearby restaurants where people speak a little English. A supermarket right across from the hotel area is open 24/7, but it’s cash only, no cards. Lawson has an ATM about a 10-minute walk away. Look for the sign that says “ATM” alongside the Lawson sign. You can heat or cook ready-made meals from the supermarket in the hotel lobby, or buy food directly from the hotel. It isn’t expensive.

The station is right next door, and there’s a huge grocery store across the street. There’s also a convenient shuttle to the local onsen. The hotel is new, with a nice lobby, friendly staff, comfortable new beds, and an excellent layout. It was very quiet and we had a wonderful stay. There’s lots of parking in the area, including the parking connected to the hotel, which also serves as a rest stop for drivers. Plenty of parking options. I loved staying here.
