Quiet, comfortable, and traditional Japanese in style. I’d highly recommend this hotel.
Friendly, helpful, clean, and economical. What else is there to say?
I always stay here on my own as a woman, and it feels safe, comfortable, and relaxing. The owner is very kind and welcoming, and the rooms have been carefully arranged for a comfortable visit. The inn is right beside the National Jewel Buddha, and you can use its free parking lot. The hot spring is about a two-minute drive away. If you enjoy sake, I really recommend the tasting set. I had a lovely time with the owner, who’s a big sake fan.
I came mainly to see the stone Buddha statues, but what stayed with me was the owner’s heartfelt hospitality. We had fun conversations and delicious drinks, and I felt right at home. Time went by so quickly that I wished I could have stayed longer. After checkout, the owner drove me near Usuki Station. Thank you so much. The place is also convenient for visiting the stone Buddhas. Since the owner runs it alone, I recommend contacting him ahead of time to confirm your check-in time as accurately as you can.
It’s very clean and conveniently placed for visiting the Usuki Stone Buddhas. Usuki Station has around eight buses a day, with fewer on weekends; if there aren’t any buses, they provide a shuttle. Keep in mind there are no convenience stores nearby, so buy dinner beforehand. Going to see the stone Buddhas early in the morning is a good idea. I’ve attached the timetable for Sunday return buses from the statues.
